lol I think it is like more evenly distributes out each section of arts through the popular. Like one section may have a lot more favs in it as the top favs for than another but would be right next to one another as it is the top of it's section sort of? So that is a away for more than just like anime and photography and the usual stuff and people from getting all the attention. The popular peeps are not happy I tell ya what . I really couldn't care less I never even look at the front page as I have my page bookmarked in fire fox and am always logged in so no need to go to the front XD. The new system could use some tweaking but I don't think anyone is gonna die over it haha XD. I believe the prints are still the same going by favs no matter what the category.
